A helmet constructed of blackened lacquered leather with a raised non-magnetic metal comb running from centre to back over the crown top, the helmet features a rounded body and extended,rounded corner, front and rear visors, the forward edge of the front visor is trimmed in brass, which is secured in position by two studs, the helmet features a metal plate fixed to the centre front, presenting crossed axes tied with a ribbon below a helmet in profile, the helmet features a brown leather chinstrap secured in place by side posts, the interior is lined with black leather, maker marked LEHMANN & WUNDENBERG HANNOVER, measuring 17 cm (w) x 25.3 cm (l) x 17 cm (h), and in near very fine condition.
