Constructed of silver, the obverse bearing a central raised angelic figure (possibly St. Michael) with the coat of arms of Austria-Hungary suspended from a sash, circumscribed by a Latin inscription indicating that the medal was issued to commemorate the dedication of a memorial to a monument to the 1694 liberation of Petrovaradin from the Ottomans, the reverse bearing a stylized map featuring city’s famous fortress, the edge bearing a dedication date of “5 AUG 1902” and a Vienna silver hallmark, measuring 39.58 mm in diameter, weighing 25.9 grams, in extremely fine condition.
