In silver gilt, a II Class medal depicting medical staff aiding an injured solider, surrounded by a white enamel ring inscribed CRUZ ROJA CUBANA RECONOCIMIENTO AL MERITO, reverse plain, marked ANTIGUA VILARDEBO Y RIERA STERLING HECHO EN CUBAN, measures 32mm (w) x 36.7mm (h – inclusive of integral suspension ball), weighs 20.4 grams (including ribbon), worn on original ribbon with decorative bar, missing pin on reverse, enamels intact, scattered gilt wear, in very fine condition.
