In gilded metal, a circular badge with nine small points around the outside, the center medallion features a portrait of Imam Schamil, an important anti-Russian Chechen national leader of the nineteenth century, an inscription along the top reads SIYLALLIY BIAHO, with the green, white and red enamel flag of Chechnya, the reverse offers a single long screwpost, measures 47.5mm (w) x 48.4mm (h), weighs 29.2 grams (including screwback plate), enamels intact, minimal wear, in extremely fine condition.
