Czechoslovakia (Republic): Revolutionary Cross 1918 (in bronze, maker marked "AB" on the reverse, measuring 41.8 mm (w) x 63 mm (h) inclusive of its ring suspension, surface wear, incorrect ribbon); Italy (Kingdom): Medal for Italian Unification, Type II (1848-1918) (in bronze, engraver marked "MARIO NELLI INC. C. RIVALTA MOD." on the obverse and "CBC" on the reverse, measuring 31.7 mm in diameter, contact marks, original ribbon); and Italy (Kingdom): Merit Medal for Volunteers of the Italian-Austrian War 1915-1918 (in bronze, maker marked "P MORBIDVCCI" on the obverse, measuring 32 mm in diameter, spotting evident on the reverse, original ribbon). This offering is a part of the "Dr. Albert Goodwin Collection", a preeminent assemblage of world Orders, Medals, and Decorations composed solely by Dr.Goodwin between 1946-1967. Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
