Germany, NSDAP. A Long Service Decoration, II Class for 15 Years

(Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP, II. Klasse für 15 Jahre). Instituted 2 April 1939. (1939-1945 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamel, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with ribbed and blue enameled arms joined through the quadrants by radiant sun rays, the obverse bearing a central blue enameled medallion overlaid by a wreathed German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central blue enameled medallion overlaid by a silvered inscription of “TREUE FÜR FÜHRER UND VOLK” (“LOYALTY FOR FÜHRER AND PEOPLE”), unmarked, measuring 42.76 mm (w) x 47.20 mm (h), weighing 38.0 grams, with minor chipping visible to the reverse three o’clock arm, in overall extremely fine condition.
