(Auszeichnungen). A pair of decorations, including: 1. A 1944 Tyrolean Marksmanship Gau Champion’s Badge for Pistol Shooting, constructed of gilded feinzink, the obverse consisting of a circular green-painted oak leaf wreath, surrounded a central red enameled Tyrolean-style German national eagle clutching a white bullseye target overlaid by a mobile swastika, flanked by a date of “1944”, above an inscription of “PISTOLE”, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, unmarked, measuring 51.82 mm in diameter, weighing 24.1 grams, in extremely fine condition. 2. An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”), above a crossed sword and laurel branch, topped by a Stahlhelm and stick grenade, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “10” for Förster & Barth, Pforzheim, measuring 36.23 mm (w) x 44.48 mm (h), weighing 19.2 grams, with moderate loss of finish evident throughout, in very fine condition.
