Germany, NSDAP. A Long Service Decoration, II Class for 15 Years

(Dienstauszeichnung der NSDAP, II. Klasse für 15 Jahre). Instituted 2 April 1939. (1939-1945 issue). Constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross PAttée with blue enameled arms joined together through the quadrants by stylized sun rays, the obverse bearing a central blue enameled disc overlaid by a silvered NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, set within a circular oak leaf wreath, the reverse bearing a central blue enameled medallion overlaid by a silvered inscription of “TREUE FÜR FÜHRER UND VOLK” (“LOYALTY FOR FÜHRER AND PEOPLE”), within a circular oak leaf wreath, unmarked, measuring 42.29 mm (w) x 46.33 mm (h), weighing 27.7 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
