In silver gilt, an eight point star with faceted rays, the obverse medallion in gold with blue and red enamels, surmounted by a crown with delicate enamel details, the reverse is plain, measures 48.0mm (w) x 71.3mm (h – inclusive of crown), weighs 30.1 grams (including ribbon), worn on a French ribbon with a large rosette, marked on the ring with a French Owl hallmark denoting gold manufacture imported to France from a country without a trading contract since 1893, and a French swan hallmark denoting silver manufacture imported to France from a country without a trading contract since 1893, dark patina, enamels intact, discolouration and wear to ribbon, in otherwise extremely fine condition.
