Germany, Third Reich. A Signed and Framed Portrait of AH

(AH Porträt mit Rahmen und Unterschrift). A signed portrait of AH, consisting of a widely-reproduced image of the Führer in a civilian suit, with the lower half of the image overlaid by a handwritten dedication of “ZUM DANK FÜR IHREN BESUCH” (“TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR VISIT”) above a signature, concealed within a period original silver frame with an intact glass face, the reverse retaining a lacquered wooden backer with a stand on a swivel hinge, secured in place with five silver clips which emanate from the main body of the frame, the lower right clip stamped with a crown and crescent moon indicating German manufacture, a silver content number of “800”, and an illegible hallmark, measuring 14 cm (w) x 19 cm (h), the stand’s rivets have loosened but remain in place, a dedicated example in extremely fine condition.
