Turkey, Ottoman Empire. A Gallipoli Star, by J.H Werner, Berlin

(Harp Madalyasi). Instituted in 1915. Of German manufacture, a silver five-point star with red enamelled arms and ball finials, the obverse features a large upward facing crescent moon and central tughra, reverse bears a horizontal pin assembly with multiple rivets, marked J.H WERNER BERLIN, measures 65.0mm (w) x 65.2mm (h), weighs 39.3 grams, lovely enamelling, all intact, lightly toned silver, extremely fine condition.
