Romania, Kingdom. A Romanian Pilot Badge for Sport Tourism, c. 1935

Instituted 1930. Silvered tombac wings featuring a superimposed medallion with a blue enamelled monogram of King Carol II and crown above, the reverse presents a single horizontal pin, measures 65.7mm (w) x 19.7mm (h), showing oxidation, enamels intact, in very fine condition.

Footnote: This badge was awarded by the Civil Aviation Directorate from the Ministry of Air and Navy to pilots who graduated from “Sport Tourism” departments.
