Item #G51184

$540
(Kriegsmarine Arbeitsoverall in Leder). A set of Kriegsmarine-issued coveralls, constructed of heavy blackened leather. It features a high collar, closing at the front with an integral strap featuring functional magnetic metal snap buttons. Below the strap, a functional zipper extends from the neckline to the groin, allowing the wearer to enter and exit by stepping into and out of the garment. Both sets of cuffs and ankles similarly feature functional metal zippers for maximum functionality, while the torso is flanked by pockets opening with reinforced vertical slits. Embossed onto the right side of the chest adjacent to the zipper is a letter “M”, indicating Kriegsmarine issue, beneath a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika. The interior is fully encompassed by a black wool liner. Stitched onto the neck is a manufacturer’s label reading “BEKLEIDUNGSFABRIK HABELT, CRAILSHEIM” for the firm of Fritz Habelt. The coveralls measure approximately 50 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 58 cm, and an overall neck-to-ankle length of 150 cm. Material fatigue consistent with age and wartime use is evident to the leather, but the coveralls demonstrate no notable damage and are in an overall very fine condition.
