(Estrella de Plata del Ejército de Chile para Oficiales por Veinte Años de Servicio). Instituted in 1910. Three-piece construction, Chilean shield insignia in frosted silver with red and blue enamels, secured in place via a nut and bolt combination to a frosted silver five-pointed star base, each star point with five emanating rays, with a single emanating ray between each star point, measuring 68.7 mm (w) x 65 mm (h), vertical pinback, chipping and loss evident in the red enamels on the Chilean shield insignia, scattered frosting wear, fine.

 

Footnote: The Chilean Army Silver Star for Officers for Twenty Years' Service was instituted in 1910 and amended by Decrees 1874 of August 29, 1916 and 2438 of September 15, 1930. It was the Chilean Army's first such service decoration.
