(Silberne Ringe). A pair of First World War patriotic rings, including:

1. One constructed of silver, the exterior with a central oval medallion bearing a black 1914 Iron Cross, flanked on each side by clusters of raised oak leaves, the interior stamped with a silver content number of “800”, corresponding to a size 8.75, weighing 4.2 grams, in extremely fine condition.

2. One constructed of silver, the exterior with a central square medallion bearing an enameled Iron Cross and Imperial tri-colour shield flanked by oak leaves, in turn flanked by raised oak leaf designs, the interior stamped with a silver content number of “800”, corresponding to a size 9, weighing 3.0 grams, in extremely fine condition.

Both secreted within a period German-made wedding ring storage box, demonstrating consistent material fatigue, in fair condition.
