Brazil, Federative Republic. A Military Long Service Medal, I Class for Thirty Years' Service

(Medalha Militar). Instituted in 1901. In bronze gilt, measuring 27.5 mm (w) x 32.7 mm (h) inclusive of its integral ring, traces of gilt remains, very light contact, original ribbon, accompanied by its 35.8 mm (w) x 11.7 mm ribbon bar with one star, the ribbon housed within a rectangular bronze gilt frame, near extremely fine.

Footnote: The Military Long Service Medal was instituted on November 15, 1901 and awarded in three Grades: I Class for thirty years' service, II Class for twenty years' Service and III Class for ten years' service.
