Poland, Republic. A 5th Armoured Battalion Badge 1938, Very Rare

Three-piece construction, insignia with a two-piece construction in silvered bronze with red and black enamels, illustrating an ancient knight's helmet, mounted to an eight-pointed silvered bronze star base, each star point with a large emanating ray, with five small rays between each star point, measuring 37 mm (w) x 36.8 mm (h), maker marked "ANTONI PECZSZ WILNO" on the bronze screwback, intact enamels, near extremely fine.
