Germany, Ordnungspolizei. A Soldbuch to Gendarmerie Franz Scherreick

(Gendarmerie Soldbuch). Constructed of beige card card stock with 40 paginated interior pages lightly filled with handwritten entries, retaining a black-and-white photograph of the bearer, certified by the signature of an unidentified SS-Obsturmbannführer, measuring 105 mm (w) x 150 mm (h), demonstrating material fatigue and light soiling consistent with wartime usage, in better than very fine condition.

Footnote: Franz Scherreick 30 May 1886 in Ragnit, East Prussia (now Neman, Kaliningrad Oblast, Russia). He attained the rank of Meister of Gendarmerie and was a recipient of the Police Long Service Decoration. He survived the war and was briefly held in British custody before being released with a pass to return home.
