Red cloth-bound hardcover book, front cover illustrating the crowned Order of Michael the Brave, entitled in Romanian "Anuarul Ordinului "Mihai Viteazul" (Yearbook of the Order of Michael the Brave) above and dated "1916-1920" below the order, with the text printed in black ink of an off-white thick paper stock, the text printed and page numbered on the right-hand pages only, the lead page stating that the book was authorized by the Minister of War and that it was produced by the graphic workshops of the SOCEC & Company of Bucharest, listing the Romanian and foreign recipients of the First Class (pages 27-28), Second Class (pages 29-30) and Third Class (pages 31-178) awards of the order, their positions held, the reasons for which they were decorated and the order of the date of their decoration. Included among the recipients on pages 27-30 are: Marshal/General Joseph Joffre, Commander of the French Army (1st and 2nd Classes); Italian Prince Aimone, Duke of Aosta (1st Class); General Armando Diaz, Chief of Staff of the Italian Army (1st Class); General John Pershing, Commander of the American Expeditionary Forces (1st Class); Field Marshal Sir Douglas Haig of the British Army (1st Class); Field Marshal Lord Edmund Allenby, British High Commissioner and Supreme Commander of Allied Forces (1st Class); Marshal/General Ferdinand Foch, Supreme Commander of the Allied Army (1st and 2nd Classes); Marshal/General Philippe Petain, Supreme Commander of the French Army (1st Class); Infantry General Dimitrie Grigorievitch Stcerbatcheff, Commander of the Russian Army Group on the Romanian Front (2nd Class); General Robert Nivelle, French Army (2nd Class); and Division General Henry Mathias Berthelot, Head of the French Military Mission in Romania (2nd Class). The remaining recipients listed over the next 148 pages are all 3rd Class, with an inscription in pencil on the back of the last page (page 178). The book measures 152 mm x 230 mm x 25 mm, exhibiting separation of the text from the spine, three sections entailing the first 24 pages are missing but the last page of the alphabetized index (V to Z) remains, as does the text listing all the recipients, the cover with extensive soiling and wear, some of the pages towards the back of the book with soiling, all the pages with foxing.
