Romania, Republic. A Gold Medal for Liberation from the Fascist Yoke, Belonging to Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej

An extremely rare 14Kt. Gold (unmarked, but tested), example of this award, weighing 28.6 grams inclusive of its suspension, measuring 31.5 mm, original ribbon, mounted to a five-sided brass suspension with pinback, in mint condition. Together with the miniature of the medal, also in Gold, weighing 4 grams, measuring 15 mm, extremely rare and in mint condition.

Accompanied by an ID booklet from the personal effects and estate of Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej. A Ministry of the Interior Identification Card, semi-hardcover, numbered "000001", measuring 76 mm x 108 mm, tape repair on the spine, remains fine.
