In die-stamped patinated bronze, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 92 mm (h), all three lugs intact, very light contact, scattered patination wear, near extremely fine.

Footnote: The 49th Regiment Hastings Rifles was established on September 14, 1866 in Stirling, Ontario, as the 49th Hastings Battalion of Infantry, was re-designated as the 49th Hastings Battalion of Rifles on April 6, 1871, re-designated on May 8, 1900 as the 49th Regiment Hastings Rifles and amalgamated with the 16th Prince Edward Regiment on March 12, 1920.
