Germany, Kriegsmarine. A Blockade Runner Badge, by Rudolf Souval

(Kriegsabzeichen für Blockadebrecher). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a circular chain link wreath, around a central depiction of a blockade runner cutting through the chain, with its bow overlaid by a German national eagle in mid-flight and clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a crimped hinge and elongated vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked with the logo of Rudolf Souval, Vienna, measuring 49.88 mm in diameter, weighing 40.6 grams, demonstrating near-total loss of finish, a wartime-compatible Souval example in very fine condition.
