In patinated and silvered bronze, voided, unmarked, measuring 87 mm (w) x 122.5 mm (h), two lateral lugs intact, the third one at the top behind the crown having broken off, scattered patination evident on the two lions on either side of the arm at 6 o'clock, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The 37th Haldimand Battalion of Rifles was authorized on September 28, 1866, with regimental headquarters at York and had companies in York, Dunnville, Caledonia, Oneida, Hullsville, Cheapside and Mount Healy, Canada West (now Ontario). It was re-designated as the 37th Regiment Haldimand Rifles on May 8, 1900; then re-designated as The Haldimand Rifles.on May 1, 1920. It was amalgamated on December 15, 1936, with The Dufferin Rifles of Canada and C Company of the 3rd Machine Gun Battalion, CMGC (now The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's)), and re-designated as The Dufferin and Haldimand Rifles of Canada.
