Order of Michael the Brave - Knight’s Cross with Swords, in gilt and enamels, 40.75mm (x 58.35mm including crown suspension), WWII period issue, dated 1944 on reverse, no chipping to enamels, with original ribbon, in extremely fine condition. Footnote: The Order of Michael the Brave (Romanian: Ordinul Mihai Viteazul) is Romania's highest military decoration, instituted by King Ferdinand I during the early stages of the Romanian Campaign of World War I, and was again awarded in World War II.
