(Ordensschnalle). A medal bar for First and Second World War service, featuring four decorations, including:
1. A 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, the suspension loop stamped with the square hole punch mark of a documented but unidentified manufacturer, measuring 43.14 mm (w) x 47.14 mm (h), weighing 17.2 grams, in extremely fine condition.
2. A Bavarian Order of Military Merit, III Class Cross with Swords, constructed of copper, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Ludwig II, within a stylized belt and buckle bearing an inscription of “MERENTI” (“MERIT”) with arabesques, with a crossed sword clasp riveted to the twelve o’clock arm, the reverse bearing a central raised Bavarian lion rampant, within a stylized belt and buckle bearing an institution date of “1866” with arabesques, the twelve o’clock arm topped by a crown suspension connecting to a period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 42.36 mm (w) x 65.94 mm (h), weighing 26.0 grams, with minor oxidation evident, in near extremely fine condition.
3. An Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing central wreathed dates “1914-1918”, the reverse maker marked with the logo of Deschler & Sohn, Munich, measuring 37.66 mm (w) x 41.21 mm (h), weighing 14.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
4. A Croatian Ante Pavelić Bravery Medal in Silver, constructed of silver, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile of Ante Pavelić, circumscribed by name and title, the reverse bearing a central Ustaše coat of arms, flanked by a date of “1941”, circumscribed by inscriptions of “ZA DOM, SPREMNI” (“FOR OUR COUNTRY, READY”) and “ZA HRABROST” (“FOR BRAVERY”), the edge stamped with dual silver hallmarks, measuring 34.66 mm in diameter, weighing 22.6 grams, in extremely fine condition.
