A smooth shaped cabinet teacup in rich red glazed porcelain, the exterior side featuring a raised relief of the left facing profile of Hindenburg in white, the interior is entirely gilded along with the raised handle and rim on the base, the bottom bears the raised dates 1914-15-16 and the green makers mark denoting the factory of Hutschenreuther Selb, the teacup measures 99mm (w – across the top including the handle) x 109mm (h – including the handle), handle has been previously repaired at its base, otherwise no chips and in near extremely fine condition.

The saucer, in red glazed porcelain with a raised central gilded rim to host the teacup, features the superimposed inscription Aus Großen Zeif 1914-1917 (From Great Times), the exterior rim features a think gilded edge, the bottom is marked in the center with the makers mark of Hutschenreuther Selb, the saucer measures 143mm in diameter, light scratches and wear to central gold rim, remains in extremely fine condition.
