(Luftwaffe Feldbluse für Flieger). A very well-preserved Luftwaffe Flight Personnel Flieger (Enlisted ranks) service blouse, constructed of dark grey wool. The blouse features a turned-down collar, transitioning into double lapels, which is flanked on each side by tabs. The former are constructed of a pale golden-yellow wool with buckram cores, both pinned with a single aluminum gull, and measure 40 mm (w) x 60 mm (l) overall. Flanking the shoulders are integral loops and pebbled magnetic metal buttons for the accommodation of straps. A hidden strap is set into the interior of each cuff, with the latter featuring slits allowing the straps to fasten to a black bakelite button on the exterior. Stitched onto the upper right breast flap with factory-original zig-zag embroidery is an insignia consisting of a dark grey wool base bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Luftwaffe eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 95 mm (w) x 45 mm (h) overall. Two pockets are set into the lower half of each flap, and close with horizontal flaps perforated with reinforced buttonholes, in turn meeting pebbled magnetic metal buttons. Two sets of three reinforced eyelets are set into the waistband for the accommodation of an optional belt hanger. The blouse closes with five black bakelite buttons on the right flap meeting an equal number of reinforced buttonholes on the left. The interior features a partial grey rayon liner with dual breast pockets, and an additional narrow pocket at the lower right. It is stamped on the left flap with the logo of Luftwaffe Bekleidungsamt Berlin, flanked by an acceptance date of “40”, situated just above size dimensions. It measures approximately 47 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 54 cm, and an overall body length of 60 cm. Minor material fatigue consistent with age and light wartime wear is evident, but the blouse remains in an overall extremely fine condition.
