Romania, Kingdom. A Crusade Against Communism Medal, with Two Campaign Clasps

(Medalia Cruciada împotriva comunismului). Constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon fastened with “DNJESTR” (“DNIESTER”) and “DOBROGEA” (“DOBRUJA”) clasps, the obverse bearing a raised female figure, the obverse bearing a raised Geneva Cross overlaid by a hand gripping a sword, in turn flanked by a date of “1941”, circumscribed by an inscription of “CRUCIADA ÎMPOTRIVA COMUNISMULUI” (“CRUSADE AGAINST COMMUNISM”), the reverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing female figure above an inscription of “ROMÂNIA RECUNOSCĂTOARE” (“ROMANIA IS GRATEFUL”), engraver marked “P. GRANT”, measuring 31.69 mm in diameter, weighing 19.7 grams (inclusive of ribbon and clasps), with minor tarnishing evident, in near extremely fine condition.
