Croatia, Independent State. An Order of the Crown of King Zvonimir, Grand Cross Star, by Braca Knaus

(Red krune kralja Zvonimira). Instituted May 15 1941. Military Division. In bronze gilt, an eight-point star with clusters of seven smooth rays, the obverse medallion features a white cross with crown in the central round disc which has been pierced by crossed swords, reverse presents a single vertical pin, marked BK (Braca Knaus of Zagreb) and hallmarked with a Croatian rooster, measures 94.5mm (w) x 95.8mm (h), weighs 59.9 grams, wear to gilt, enamels are slightly cracked, small chip in the 3 o’clock arm, remains in very fine condition.
