(U-Boot-Frontspange in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by crossed swords, topped by a Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, around a central U-Boat set over a hollow background, flanked on each side by six oak leaves, the reverse with a integral hinge and semi-hollow banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked “PEEKHAUS, BERLIN” and designer marked “SCHWERIN, BERLIN”, measuring 76.56 mm (w) x 24.14 mm (h), weighing 19.0 grams, demonstrating minor loss of finish, in near extremely fine condition.
