Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and leftward-facing profile of Tsar Alexander I in medieval armour and wielding a spear with an ornately-decorated shield executed in high relief, circumscribed by a Russian Cyrillic inscription of “РОДОМЫСЛЪ ДЕВЯТАГОНАДЕСЯТЬ ВѢКА” (“RODOMYSL OF THE NINETEENTH CENTURY”), the reverse bearing a raised female figures as the personification of peace, flanked by a figure representing Europe and a double-headed Russian imperal eagle, circumscribed by inscriptions of “МИРЪ ЕВРОПѢ” (“PEACE IN EUROPE”), a date of “1815”, and an additional dedication for 1837 from Count Tolstoy, the obverse bearing a possible engraver’s mark that appears to read “РАКЛЕ”, measuring 65 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
