Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised and extremely detailed depiction of a seated Asclepius clutching a laurel wreath and Bowl of Hygieia, flanked by a dog and school instruments, circumscribed by a Latin inscription to a distinguished career in medicine and dedication from St. Petersburg on 2 November 1836, the reverse bearing a lengthy Latin dedication toe Doctor Petro (Peter) Zagorski from his students, enumerating his awards and titles, the obverse bearing the maker’s mark of Alexander Lyalin, measuring 52 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
