(Wappen mit Rahmen). A unique reproduction of a coat of arms presented to Lieutnant Prokophie von Radojčić, presented in watercolour on an off-white card stock backer. It consists of a shield defaced by a diagonal blue bar, in turn overlaid by a finely-detailed fox in mid-stride. The shield is situated within a frame consisting of an opulent knight’s helmet surrounded by blue and silver-grey arabesques. It sits above a banner bearing a motto of “JUSTITIA ET HONORE” (“JUSTICE AND HONOUR”). The image is inset within a striking gilded brass border, in turn situated within a dark brown wooden frame with an intact glass face. The reverse retains a reinforced card stock liner bearing an inscription indicating that the coat of arms was presented to Prokophie, a member of the Titler Grenz-Bataillon, as the son of Johan von Radojčić, a Hauptmann who served at Festung Komorn (Fortress of Komárno) and who was elevated to the Austrian nobility on 16 December 1752. A further inscription describes the coat of arms and is dated 5 November 1774. It measures 21 cm (w) x 25 cm (h) overall. Demonstrating only minor, age-appropriate scratching to the frame and backer, it remains in an overall near extremely fine condition.
