Constructed of brass and silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened brass core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened catch, maker marked with LDO code “L/19” for Ferdinand Hoffstätter, Bonn, measuring 44.03 mm (w) x 44.17 mm (h), weighing 20.3 grams, accompanied by mis-matched presentation case, constructed of a light wooden frame with a faux black leather exterior liner, the lid bearing an embossed Cross Pattée, the interior with a white rayon lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a slotted beige felt medal bed, closing with a functional spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 66 mm (w) x 68 mm (l) x 22 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
