Constructed of brass, consisting of a single tapering tube completing in a bell with a reinforced rim, the former engraved with a unit dedication of “R. 114” for the 114th (6th Baden) Infantry Regiment “Kaiser Friedrich III”, situated below a stamped maker’s mark of “K. DEIMER” for the firm of Karl Deimer, Karlsruhe, with a manufacture date of “1915”, in turn situated below a disc bearing a raised Prussia imperial eagle clutching a sword and sceptre, featuring a removable mouthpiece affixed to a chain emanating from a loop, with an additional side loop riveted to the bell, measuring 27 cm in total length, demonstrating denting and surface oxidation consistent with age and field use, an interesting and unit-attributed example in very fine condition.
