(Der Stahlhelm Diensteintrittsabzeichen 1928). Constructed of silvered bronze with black enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc, bearing a silvered date of “1928” topped by oak leaves and a raised Stahlhelm insignia, the reverse with a crimped binge and banjo-style pinback meeting a round wire catch, bearing a central letter “A”, maker marked with the logo of Der Stahlhof, Magdeburg, measuring 30.33 mm in diameter, weighing 11.9 grams, with minor flecking of the enamel evident, in extremely fine condition.
