Germany, Luftwaffe. A Fallschirmjäger Badge, Cloth Version, with Promotion Document to Oberfeldwebel Reichard Hurlebaus

(Fallschirmschützenabzeichen, Stoffausführung, mit Beförderungsdokument). A pair of items to Richard Hurlebaus, who served on the staff of Fallschirm-Maschinengewehr-Bataillon, including:

1. A Fallschirmjäger Badge, cloth version, constructed of dark grey wool, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a golden-yellow diving Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 54 mm (w) x 70 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

2. A promotion document, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, promoting Hurlebaus from Feldwebel to Oberfeldwebel, issued on 21 June 1941 and retroactively effective from 1 June, certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Major and battalion commander, measuring 21 cm (w) x 29.5 cm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue and discolouration, in near extremely fine condition.
