(Auszeichnungen). A mixed lot of six service decorations, including:
1. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “107” for Carl Wild, Hamburg, measuring 36.68 mm (w) x 44.06 mm (h), weighing 11.8 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
2. A War Merit Cross II Class, constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 47.75 mm (w) x 48.26 mm (h), weighing 16.9 grams, with oxidation and loss of finish evident throughout, in fair condition.
3. A War Merit Cross II Class, constructed of bronzed zink, on loop for suspension, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central wreathed date of “1939”, the suspension loop maker marked with a partially-legible Präsidialkanzlei code, measuring 49.10 mm (w) x 49.64 mm (h), weighing 16.4 grams, with oxidation and loss of finish evident throughout, in fair condition.
4. A War Merit Cross, I Class with Swords, constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, bearing a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and banjo-style pinback, unmarked, measuring 48.96 mm (w) x 48.09 mm (h), weighing 18.1 grams, missing its pinback and with oxidation and loss of finish evident throughout, in fair condition.
5. A West Wall Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension, consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised pillbox topped by a crossed sword and shovel and German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR ARBEIT ZUM SCHUTZE DEUTSCHLANDS” (“FOR WORK IN THE DEFENCE OF GERMANY”), unmarked, measuring 33.08 mm (w) x 45.40 mm (h), weighing 18.0 grams, in near extremely fine condition.
6. An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, unmarked, measuring 34.17 mm (w) x 39.86 mm (h), weighing 14.8 grams, the suspension loop is missing and all of the features have been deliberately ground out, in poor condition.
