Russia, Imperial. An 1898 Table Medal for the St. Petersburg Exhibition of Handicrafts

Constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a central wreathed Geneva Cross, circumscribed by a Russian Cyrillic inscription indicating that the medal was issued to participants in the 1898 St. Petersburg Exhibitions of Artisans and Craftsmen, the reverse bearing raised rectangular plaques overlaid by detailed scenes of St. Petersburg, topped by the city’s coat of arms and flanked by a laurel wreath, unmarked, measuring 50.36 mm in diameter, with some bruising visible to the edges and with a consistent patina throughout, in very fine condition.
