Constructed of bronze, the obverse bearing a raised depiction of Mother Russia seated against an industrial landscape and surrounded by implements of industry and commerce, circumscribed by a Russian Cyrillic inscription of “NIZHNY NOVGOROD” and a date of “1896”, the reverse bearing overlapping plaques featuring detailed images of the pavilions of the 1896 All-Russian Exhibition, circumscribed by a Cyrillic inscription describing the event, the obverse factory-marked “В. ЗБУКЪ”, measuring 52 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
