Russia, Imperial. An 1873 Commemorative Medallion for the Dedication of the Catherine the Great Monument in St. Petersburg

Constructed of a silvered zink alloy, the obverse bearing a central raised depiction of the Catherine the Great Monument in Ostrovsky Square in St. Petersburg, circumscribed by a Russian Cyrillic dedication from Tsar Alexander II, the reverse bearing a Cyrillic dedication and date of “1873”, unmarked, measuring 36 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
