(Luftwaffe Tropenfeldbluse für Leutnant der Fliegertruppe). An extremely well-preserved Luftwaffe Flight Personnel tropical field blouse, constructed of a light khaki-tan cotton blend. It features a turned-down collar which transitions into double breast lapels. The shoulders are flanked by boards constructed of golden-yellow wool with buckram cores and topped by four bands of silver aluminum wire piping. Each measuring 32 mm (w) x 105 mm (l), the boards are secured in place with integral loops at the outer edge, both in turn meeting analogous straps set into the reverse of the board, and with a pebbled aluminum button on the inner edge. Stitched onto the left cuff is a title constructed of light brown camelhair cloth, trimmed along both edges with silver-grey tresses, and bearing a central silver-grey machine-embroidered inscription of “AFRIKA”. The cuff title measures 30 mm in width. Four pleated pocket pockets are set into the breast flaps, all closing with scalloped flaps perforated with reinforced buttonholes and meeting pebbled aluminum buttons. Dual loops stitched into the tunic just above the upper right pocket accommodate an insignia consisting of an aluminum Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika. Unmarked, the eagle measures 85 mm (w) x 50 mm (h) and features a horizontal pinback. The interior is plain and unmarked. It measures approximately 46 cm across the shoulders, with an arm length of 58 cm, and an overall body length of 72 cm. Demonstrating only minor soiling and material fatigue, it remains in a near extremely fine condition.
