Germany, SA. A 1939 Sturmabteilung (SA) Marine Nordmark Kiel Race Plate, by Röders

(Marine-SA Gedenkplatte). Constructed of pewter, the obverse with a central engraved Sturmabteilung (SA) insignia, circumscribed by an inscription of “M.S.A. 31/44, KIEL, JULI 1939”, the outer ring with an etched inscription of “I. VERBANDSWETTFAHRT” (I ASSOCIATION RACE”) and “SEGELABTLG. S.A. GR. NM” (“SAILING COMPANY OF THE SA GROUP NORDMARK”), the reverse maker marked “RÖDERS” alongside the logo of the Soltau-based firm, with a partially-intact engraver’s label, measuring 235 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.
