Germany, Luftwaffe. A 1937 Hilfsschirm Supply Parachute

(Fallschirm). Constructed of multiple panels of white rayon with sturdy machine-reinforced seams and retaining a full-length drawstring for attachment to a load, the exterior bearing multiple ink stamps indicating that the parachute was manufactured on 4 September 1937, with additional inspection stamps for years 1938, 1939, and 1942 (the latter dated 8 March and 7 May, indicating possible deployment), demonstrating soiling consistent with age and use throughout, in very fine condition.
