(مدال قیام ملی.). Instituted in 1953. In bronze gilt, obverse illustrating the left-facing head of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi, within a wreath composed of two branches of laurel leaves, the branches tied together at the junction with a bow-tied ribbon, all of which is surmounted by the Pahlavi crown, reverse inscribed in Persian that translates as "28 Mordad 1332 HS" (August 19, 1953), measuring 33.3 mm (w) x 39.8 mm (h), exhibiting contact marks, moderate surface wear, spotting, along with greening, replacement incorrect ribbon, better than fine.

 

Footnote: The National Uprising (28th Amordad) Medal (AKA Medal of Gheyam Melli) was established in 1953, to commemorate the coup d'etat which reinstated Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi to his legitimate role as the Iranian Monarch. A bronze Pahlavi crown emblem is authorized for wear on the ribbon.
