(BUGLER BISHNER LOHAR / 5th GOORKHA REGt). Naming is officially engraved on the reverse. In dark bronze, measuring 46.7 mm (w) x 61.5 mm (h), tip of the star point at 6 o'clock bent slightly outwards, traces of residue evident in a few locations from cleaning, contact marks and surface wear overall, suspended from its large ring with original ribbon, very fine.

 

Footnote: The Kabul to Kandahar Star was instituted in 1882 and was struck by Jenkins of Birmingham. It was awarded for participation in General Robert's 300 miles epic march from Kabul, to relieve the beleaguered forces of General Burrows at Kandahar, from August 9 to 31, 1880.
