Exterior in darker khaki-brown wool, both shoulders incorporating button down epaulette straps, each bearing an embroidered Queen's crown and Pip, in brown, light pink and maroon embroidery, the crown with pip indicative of the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, both straps secured in place via a black-finished wooden button. Both collars are adored with a 24 mm (w) x 34.3 mm (h) Royal Army Medical Corps badge in bronze and white metal. The front has two pockets, one on each breast which have decorative straps giving them a pleated-look, each pocket with a fold over flap with a reinforced buttonhole and secured in place with a black-finished wooden button. There is a lightly soiled three-ribbon ribbon bar sewn in place above the left pocket: the Korea Medal, the United Nations Service Medal for Korea and the General Service Medal 1918-1962. The front has a vertical row of five brown-finished metal buttons on the right side, facing an equal number of reinforced button holes on the left side, covered by a full-length flap and remaining invisible to the eye, the waistline at the front with a strap with metal length adjustment buckle on the left side, and when fed through the belt loop on the right side, ensures a snug fit at the waist. Both sleeves have button down cuffs with black-finished wooden buttons on both sides. The forearm on the sleeve has a Airborne Parachute Course badge in khaki and white embroidery sewn in place. Inside, the waistline is reinforced with a 75 mm wide cotton band, with two reinforced button holes at the rear, the inside lapel on both sides have deep cotton-lined pockets, the left side pocket stamped in black ink with a large size mark "8". Below the large "8" is a manufacturer's label printed in black ink on white cotton, inscribed "BATTLE DRESS / BLOUSE 1949 Pattern / SIZE. 8 / Height 5'7" to 5'8" / Breast 37" to 38" / Waist 32" to 33" / H. Edgard & Sons Ltd. / 1954" and bearing the British Broad Arrow production insignia. Stamped on the pocket in black ink just below the label is a British Broad Arrow insignia flanked by a "W" at the left and a "D" at the right (War Department), with the number "204" below and what appears to be a faded "34" above the insignia. The collar has a 78 mm long khaki cotton strap sewn in place, designed to hang the blouse upon a hook, the underside of the pocket marked with a large "205" in blue ink. The blouse measures 440 mm across the shoulders and 490 mm in length overall, is free of mothing and holes. As worn.
