Constructed of magnetic metal, on loop for suspensionthe obverse bearing a central raised Olympic column overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, topped by rings and flanked by a date of “1936”, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR VERDIENSTVOLLE MITARBEIT BEI DEN OLYMPISCHEN SPIELEN 1936” (“FOR MERITORIOUS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE OLYMPIC GAMES OF 1936”), above a clusters of oak leaves, accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of a wooden frame with a faux white leather exterior liner, the lid bearing gilded and embossed Olympic rings surrounded by a frame of identical construction, the interior with a silver-grey satin lid liner and intact hinge cover, with a depressed grey felt medal bed, closing with a functional metal spring catch with exterior stud release, unmarked, measuring 65 mm (w) x 110 mm (l) x 20 mm (h), the decoration is missing its ribbon, in overall near extremely fine condition.
