(Heer Schiffchen M35 für Männer der Panzertruppe). An extremely well-preserved Heer Panzer Troops EM/NCO’s M35 overseas cap, constructed of black wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side walls which are scalloped toward the front. A single ventilation hole flanks each side of the crown, reinforced with black-painted metal grommets. Stitched onto the peak of the cap is an insignia consisting of a field-grey rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 68 mm (w) x 30 mm (h). Directly beneath the eagle, the peak also bears a machine-embroidered tri-colour cockade set over top of a field-grey rayon backer, measuring 38 mm (w) x 38 mm (h) overall. The cockade is surrounded by a classic rose-pink Panzer soutache. The interior is fully encompassed by a multi-piece grey cotton liner. Stamped onto the crown in black ink is a maker’s mark of “WILLY SPRENGPFEIL, HAMBURG”, with a manufacture date of “1938”, and size mark of “57”. It measures approximately 30 cm (l) x 11.5 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. Demonstrating no notable damage or wear, it remains in an extremely fine condition.
