Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, around a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crosses swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with an integral hinge and vertical pinback meeting an integral catch, unmarked, measuring 36.60 mm (w) x 44.23 mm (h), weighing 22.1 grams, demonstrating near-total loss of finish, in very fine condition.
Accompanied by its original award document, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to “UFFZ. KURT ABRAHAM” of 2./Feld-Ausb.Regt.Pz.AOK 3, issued on 28 March 1945 for five wounds suffered on of before 17 March, certified by the handwritten signature of an unidentified Oberleutnant and battalion commander, measuring 14 cm (w) x 20.5 cm (h), with tape reinforcement visible to the reverse, in very fine condition.
